The patterns are fake/knockoff of Mayan patters. White girls are so obsessed with them and I’m sure most of them don’t even know the names. The phones case designs are examples of cultural appropriation.
While I do agree with the fact that it is sort of stupid, I also agree with the fact that as an artist, I can do whatever the fuck I want. That includes using cultural symbols in my designs.
